Bio: Jordan Visco
Nanaimo Branch Manager, Summer 2002
University of Victoria
Bachelor of Commerce

Q. What steps did you have to take to receive credit?
A. In order to receive co-op credit through the University of Victoria, I had to talk to my program advisor and make sure that working with Vector Marketing would qualify as a work term for the Bachelor of Commerce program. I then had to pay a Co-op fee for the semester and provide a written work-term report on how my work term with Vector Marketing went so that other students can read it.

Q. What type of credit are you receiving?
A. I am receiving a co-op work term credit for my Bachelor of Commerce program through the University of Victoria.

Q. What advice would you give to someone looking into credit?
A. Go see your program advisor to see if you could get school credit for working with Vector Marketing! Talk to Michelle Ducharme as well... she'll point you in the right direction if you are interested.

Q. What is the one thing you would make sure to mention to convince the advisor to grant credit?
A. Be sure to mention the experience you are getting is in sales which is important in any field... also plug the scholarship opportunity!

Q. What are a few benefits of getting credit? How is it helping you in your work?
A. Program completion.... You may need to do a work term to complete your program. Also, employers like to see co-op work terms on your resume.
