Vector Marketing Internships

Vector Marketing Corporation's Management Development Internship Program is designed for students who want to develop professional leadership and management skills as a complement to their undergraduate experience. Vector Interns are trained and observed for management potential and may advance within the organization based on their talent and interest. Students who successfully advance within the program are considered the company‘s top candidates for career management position upon graduation.

Vector Marketing Corporation has a ”promote from within policy,“ meaning that each of our managers has had personal field sales experience with the company. From Vector‘s President down to our newest district manager, everyone in the sales organization began his or her Vector Marketing career selling Cutco. The value of this field experience is at the heart of our corporate culture, and thus, every Management Development Intern begins their Vector career as sales representative.


There is no single profile of a successful internship candidate. The interns who do best, however, do have several traits in common: They are individuals who welcome a challenge, communicate well, have a strong work ethic, and an internal drive to achieve. Vector offers a comprehensive training and development program, and requires no specific prior experience. Students of all majors are considered.


In order to complete an internship, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Earn a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Conduct 50 qualified demonstrations.
  • Maintain daily office contact, and attend office meetings and workshops.
  • Attend one company conference or division meeting.
  • Be field trained and personally field train a minimum of three other reps.
  • Participate in two performance reviews with the office manager.
  • Deliver at least one talk at team meetings.
